Accessibility

Our commitment to an accessible site, what we have done, and how to get help.

In short

  • We want everyone to be able to research, compare and order our materials, including people who use assistive technology.
  • We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
  • If something on the site does not work for you, call (714) 533-8400 or email sales@epic-dist.com and we will help you directly and fix it.

Our commitment

Epic Distribution wants epic-dist.com to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever their abilities, devices or circumstances. We treat accessibility as part of how the site is built, not as a feature added afterwards.

What we have done

  • Readable contrast. We measure text and controls against WCAG contrast minimums in both light and dark modes, including text placed over photographs.
  • Keyboard access. Menus, sliders, tabs, filters and forms are built to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Clear forms. Every field has a visible label, required fields are marked, and errors are explained in words next to the field, not by color alone.
  • Real tables. Specifications are published as data tables with headers, so screen readers can read them row by row.
  • Text alternatives. Meaningful images have descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Motion. Animations and slides respect your device's "reduce motion" setting.
  • Light and dark modes that you can switch between, and that the site remembers.

Known limitations

  • Some downloadable data sheets and PDFs, including those supplied by manufacturers of brands we distribute, may not be fully accessible. We will send the information in another format on request.
  • Some content comes from third parties, such as maps, embedded tools or carrier tracking, that we do not control.

We review the site regularly and fix problems as we find them.
