What the numbers have to be
Opacity
at least 100 %
Anything short of complete blockout and the reverse image ghosts into the front. On a 5 m ceiling banner that is visible from the floor and cannot be fixed afterwards.
Stock width
at least 400 cm
A seam shows on both faces of a hanging banner. Over 4 m of width removes it from most hall jobs.
Opacity is binary in practice: either the reverse image is invisible from the front or the job is wrong. There is no useful middle.

Getting it right on site
Check it lit, not flat. A blockout core that looks complete on a bench can ghost under a spotlight aimed from the far side of a hall, which is exactly how a ceiling banner gets viewed.
Width is what decides seams, and a seam on a hanging banner is visible from below on both faces. Eos goes to 500 cm, which takes most hall banners to a single drop.
