Refund policy

Returns, damage in transit, defects, cancellations and refunds — and how to avoid needing any of them.

Last updated: October 28, 2026

In short

  • Test first. Ask for test yardage before a production order. It is the surest way to avoid a return.
  • Unopened full rolls can be returned within 30 days of delivery, with a return authorization, subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  • Cut-to-length, slit, special-order, opened and printed material is final sale, unless it is defective or we sent the wrong thing.
  • Damaged in transit? Note it on the delivery receipt and tell us within 2 business days.
  • Defective or wrong item? Tell us within 10 days of delivery, before you run a full job on it, and we will replace, credit or refund it and cover the freight.

Before you order

Large-format fabric performs differently on every press, ink and heat setting. We would much rather you print a test than return a roll, so we send test yardage and ICC profiles on request. If you are not sure which material fits a job, ask us before you order.

Returning unopened full rolls

You may return a full roll that is unopened, uncut, undamaged and in its original packaging and core within 30 days of delivery, as follows:

  1. Ask for a return authorization (RMA). Email sales@epic-dist.com or call (714) 533-8400 with your invoice number, the product and the quantity. We cannot accept returns sent without an RMA.
  2. Pack it as it arrived, with the RMA number clearly marked on the outside.
  3. Send it back by a trackable, insured method, or arrange a pickup or drop-off in Anaheim with us. Unless the return is because of our error, you pay return freight and the material is your responsibility until we receive it.

Returns that meet these conditions are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Original delivery charges are not refunded.

What we cannot accept back

Unless the material is defective or we sent the wrong item, the following are final sale:

  • material cut to length, slit to a custom width or otherwise processed for you;
  • special-order, non-stock or made-to-order products;
  • opened, partially used, printed, heat-pressed or otherwise processed material;
  • rolls whose packaging or core has been damaged after delivery;
  • samples, swatches and test yardage;
  • items sold as clearance, closeout or "as is".

Damage in transit

Please inspect every delivery when it arrives, before signing.

  • If packaging is damaged, write a description of the damage on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before you sign, and take photos.
  • Tell us within 2 business days of delivery, with photos of the packaging, labels and any damaged material.
  • Keep the material and all packaging until the claim is settled. Carriers usually need to inspect it.

We will file the claim with the carrier and arrange a replacement or credit. Damage that was not noted on delivery, or reported late, can be impossible to recover from the carrier, so we may not be able to accept it.

Defects and wrong items

If material does not meet its published specification, has a manufacturing defect, or is not what you ordered:

  • Tell us within 10 days of delivery, and before printing a full production run on it. Stop using the roll once you suspect a problem.
  • Send the invoice number, roll or lot number from the core label, photos, and a printed sample if you have one, along with your printer, ink, profile and press settings.
  • Keep the roll. We may ask you to send it, or a sample of it, back for evaluation at our cost.

If we confirm the problem, we will, at our option, replace the material, credit your account or refund what you paid for it, and pay the freight both ways. Our responsibility is limited to the material itself; see "Limited warranty" and "Limitation of liability" in our Terms of Service.

Products from other manufacturers are also covered by those manufacturers' warranties, and we will help you make a claim.

Cancelling an order

  • You can cancel an order at no charge until it has been cut, picked for delivery or shipped. Call us as soon as possible.
  • Orders that have been cut, slit or special-ordered for you cannot be cancelled.
  • If a special order is cancelled with our agreement, any charges from the manufacturer or freight already incurred may be passed on.

Refunds

We inspect returned material when it arrives. Once a return is approved, we issue a refund to the original payment method, or a credit to your account if you prefer, within 14 days of receiving it. Your bank or card issuer may take a few extra days to post it. If a return is not approved, we will tell you why and can send the material back at your cost.

Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the law that cannot be waived.
